About Applewood Gin (500ml)

A citrus-driven and floral Gin that has an interplay of fragrance, depth and vibrancy. Inspired by Springtime in the Adelaide Hills, distilled from grape-based spirit and composed of the following botanicals: Juniper Berries, Coriander Seed, Angelica Root, Ginger Root, Lemon Myrtle, Earl Grey Tea, Lavender, Vanilla, Cardamom, Macadamia, Lemon and Orange Peel.

What better way to explore the vast plethora of native Australian ingredients than through Gin? When we first discovered the wonders and delights of citrus that were indigenous to the land we belong to - we simply couldn't resist. We crafted a Gin that takes full advantage of the tart, bright green flavours of the Finger Lime and give it a double-tap of the super-savoury Desert Lime.

When we were done, we had landed on 25 individual botanicals - with aromatic support delivered by Peppermint Gum Leaf, Saltbush, Wild Thyme, Pepperberry, Wattleseed, Anise Myrtle, Macadamia and of course - a healthy dose of Juniper!

Serving suggestion: Mix with good quality dry tonic and garnish with dried or fresh orange with wild thyme or lemon thyme

Applewood Distillery: Being winemakers, we're two people incredibly passionate about the soil and produce we have in Australia. It's our contention to showcase products to the rest of the world that embrace Australian native ingredients and pay homage to the custodianship of the indigenous people who maintained the land for thousands of years.

It's this passion that has driven us to start two wine labels, one that protects our farmers and another that protects our future. We've since taken these concepts and with our distillery, applewood - catapulted it into the horticultural realm - studying indigenous produce, it's beneficial effects on our land and the stories it can tell through incredible colours, flavours, and textures.

We seek Australian identity in the products we craft and the services we offer. We seek ways to communicate this with an entirely new demographic.

Our hope is that these Australian stories can one-day be heard on a global scale.
