About Melbourne Gin Company Single Shot Gin (700 ml)

The second release ever for Melbourne Gin Company, their Single Shot gin uses a completely different distillation to their classic dry gin, with all the botanicals distilled at the same time. 

Bolder, with a higher alcohol content at 47.4%, more juniper along with new botanicals including cardamom pods, bergamot orange, lavender and Tasmanian leatherwood honey, this is a bigger, and less traditional gin; representing Andrew's journey into the world of flavour and distillation.

Single Shot is a savoury juniper driven gin which shines brightly through a range of cocktail combinations

Serving suggestions:

• In a G&T we suggest pairing with StrangeLove No.8 Tonic, garnished with fresh orange peel and fresh thyme

The Melbourne Gin Company: the latest project from winemaker Andrew Marks, began with a love of gin and stovetop experiments, Andrew set out to create a gin that would live up to its name. This led to a journey into the world of alchemy and craft distilling, with a good deal of sampling along the way. The final product retains this artisan approach. For his MGC Dry Gin, Andrew distils each botanical individually in an alembic copper-pot still, balancing seasonal differences in the ingredients with a winemaker’s sensibility. His second release, Single Shot, distils all the botanicals at the same time. 

The results for each gin are a unique take on the essence of Melbourne.
